About Andrew Hindes
Andrew Hindes, president and founder of The In-House Writer, is a former journalist with over 20 years entertainment, technology and writing experience. Prior to starting The In-House Writer, Hindes was executive vice president of product development at Nielsen EDI, overseeing all of the entertainment tracking firm's U.S. publications and media accounts. Before that, he spent 10 years as a journalist, including stints as film editor of both Daily Variety and Inside.com as well
as founding editor-in-chief of the popular online entertainment destination iFilm.com.
He is the co-author with Chris Petrikin and Dan Cox of Variety Power Players 2000: Movers and Shakers, Power Brokers
and Career Makers (Perigee).
Prior to his journalism career, Hindes gained hands-on experience in both the entertainment and technology arenas,
having worked as a film composer and sound engineer and as a computer consultant to Fortune 500 corporations.
